Astrocartography takes your natal chart and projects it onto a world map, showing where each planet's Ascendant (AC), Descendant (DC), Midheaven (MC), and Imum Coeli (IC) line falls as you travel around the globe. Standing near or on one of these lines is said to bring that planet's themes into sharper focus, so an AC line favours identity and self-expression while an MC line tends to favour career and public life. The map is generated from the same birth data used for your natal chart, so the more accurate your birth time, the more precise your lines will be.
